The Big White

(Canada/Germany, 2004, 105 minutes)

In an Alaska small town, a bankrupt travel agent hits upon the idea of passing a dead body he found in the dumpster for his long-disappeared brother in order to collect on his insurance policy and get treatment for his deranged wife, but things do not run according to plan. Manic all-star black comedy whose underdeveloped script looks too close for comfort to Fargo. The cast looks like it had a grand time doing it, but it doesn’t carry through to the viewer.
