In a Portuguese military base in Mozambique on Christmas Eve 1969, a prisoner is found seriously injured after having witnessed the murder of a soldier. At face value a murder mystery with a good sense of atmosphere and excellent ensemble acting, this is in fact a clever character study of men in war posing as a whodunit.
