A Soap

(Denmark/Sweden, 2006, 104 minutes)

After leaving his boyfriend and moving to a new flat, a hairdresser strikes an unlikely friendship with the transvestite who lives downstairs and is waiting to have a sex change operation. A rather flat premise becomes a winning, often moving comedy-drama through excellent acting and attentive handling.
