A miner and a nurse from Xianxi province arrive in Fengjie, site of the Three Gorges Dam, in search of their spouses from whom they haven’t heard in years. Moody slice-of-life melodrama with a strong documentary feel, its elliptical elegance slowly unfolding with time.
