A young woman wanting to remake her life in Beijing is drawn into a spiral of crime that takes her from Paris to Hong Kong. Intriguing if not entirely successful attempt at merging B-thriller and character study on one single schizophrenic whole, redeemed by its virtuoso handling and a charismatic lead performance.
