The Tale of Despereaux

(USA/Great Britain, 2008, 93 minutes)

A brave little mouse sworn to the code of chivalry helps a lonely princess restore happiness to her kingdom. Sweetly charming, nicely old-fashioned animated fairytale for children, with some unusual pastel-coloured visuals inspired by medieval engravings, jarring with the all-star voice cast and the sophisticated, post-modern tone of the scripting.

Universal Pictures presents, in association with Relativity Media, a Larger Than Life production in association with Framestore Animation.
