Inkheart

A young girl discovers that her traveling bookbinder father is in fact a “silvertongue”, someone who can bring a book to life simply by reading it aloud, and that all their traveling has been in search of a specific book that will bring back the absent mother. Pleasant family fantasy from a best-selling novel, with excellent production values.
