In 1949, a married suburban executive decides to leave his wife for a younger woman but tries to do so with the least possible pain for all involved. Amiable tale of modern adultery whose cast finds the pitch-perfect tone for its wildly variable mood shifts between comedy, melodrama and film noir. Excellent production values on a limited budget.
