Ne te retourne pas

Don't Look Back

(France/Luxembourg/Belgium/Italy, 2009, 109 minutes)

A struggling writer finds everything around her seems to be changing, from her apartment floorplan to the faces of her family, until even herself seems to be becoming somebody else. Handsomely mounted, intriguing psychological thriller that starts off wonderfully then loses steam until a letdown ending; the premise is so strong that no resolution could probably do it justice, let alone this one. Performances and technical credits alike consummately professional.
