The Portuguese Nun

127 minutes

A French actress shooting a movie in Lisbon about a 17th century nun's torrid love affair becomes fascinated by a real nun she sees praying in a chapel next to her hotel. Inept melodrama whose intriguing ideas and occasional sly humour get lost in stilted, ponderous tableaux amateurishly filmed.
