The well-off wife of a local doctor falls madly in love with the construction worker who is renovating an annex. Upscale melodrama that tries to move beyond the “happily ever after” where most of the competition stops only to find itself back where it started without really having gone anywhere else; a great lead performance makes up for it, but only just.
