(Portugal, 2008, 99 minutes)
A man visiting his dying father in a hospital crosses paths with a pregnant woman giving birth to her child after a possibly fatal car crash. Stunningly realised fever dream that eschews conventional narrative in order to create an almost experimental, maddeningly oblique yet intriguing moodpiece; arthouse filmmaking at its most demanding.
