JUSAN-NIN NO SHIKAKU

13 Assassins

Japan
2010
126 minutes

A retired samurai is asked to bring together in secret a special team of assassins to dispose of an arrogant, sadistic rural lord. Solid, no-nonsense if unspectacular samurai movie remaking a 1960s genre classic, shot like a western but with little of its director's usual offbeat touches.
