Drama/Mex

(Mexico, 2006, 91 minutes)

Three interlaced stories taking place in Acapulco over the course of two days: a young girl is unable to choose between her ex and her current boyfriends, a young runaway plays prostitute and an aged office worker steals the payroll and runs away to kill himself. Mosaic drama whose handheld visuals and narrative twists go a long way towards raising it above the genre's current run-of-the-mill prevalence.
