Bunt - Delo Litvinenko

Rebellion - The Litvinenko Case

(Russia, 2007, 105 minutes)

After the mysterious death by poisoning of his friend Alexander Litvinenko, an exiled former Russian secret agent, film-maker Andrei Nekrasov puts forward the thesis that he was murdered by the Russian security services for having revealed to the world the extent to which they are corrupt. Outraged expose that is constructed as a mix of political thriller and investigative report; it brings little new to the table in what regards the case itself, but is interesting for its downright topicality and effective editing.
