Hot Fuzz

(GB/USA/France, 2007, 121 minutes)

A top London police officer whose professionalism makes everyone else look bad is posted to a quiet provincial backwater where a number of grisly accidents make him suspect a killer at work. Hilariously spot-on spoof of high-octane buddy cop movies from the team behind Shaun of the Dead; it could do with a 15-minute trim but is so funny, well observed and well done that you don't really mind the overlength.
