Loin

(France/Spain, 2001, 123 minutes)

A French trucker’s three day stay in Tangier reunites him with his estranged Jewish Moroccan girlfriend and a Muslim Moroccan friend, but their relationships are pushed to the limits. Moody, atmospheric character study about people lost in their own scheme of things; great performances and sensitive handling, as is wont from this director.
