Bolt is a German shepherd who is the star of his own TV show, but unaware that all his special powers are trick effects; then an accident ships him from Hollywood to New York and he tries to find his way back home with the help of a wise-ass cat and a hyperactive hamster. Endearingly enjoyable take on Lassie enlivened by superb, first-rate computer animation and attention to scripting and character.
