The Informant!

(USA, 2009, 103 minutes)

The true story of agribusiness executive Mark Whitacre, who collaborated with the FBI to unmask a food additive price-fixing cartel but in the process unmasked his own double life. Bewildering, surreal dark comedy shot like a 1970s political thriller but scripted like a 21st century meta-fiction, twisting true-story conventions upside down in the usual playful manner of its protean director.

Warner Bros. Pictures presents, in association with Participant Media and Groundswell Productions, a Section Eight/Jaffe-Braunstein production.
