A neurotic loser returns to his native Los Angeles to spend some time at his brother's house and realises the rut he has allowed his life to get entangled in. Bittersweet character study under the guise of uncomfortable comedy, expertly assembled and presented, similar in tone and texture to much of the new American cinema of the 1970s.
