NOWHERE BOY

In late 1950s Liverpool, snarky schoolboy John Lennon finds out the mother who gave him up lives nearby and through her discovers the joys of rock'n'roll. Well-acted but run-of-the-mill biopic focusing on the early youth of Beatles founder John Lennon, whose solid acting and production values fail to mask the inherent banality of its coming-of-age tale.
